Yes, when I was picking them up in turn to trim their toenails, I was very conscious of how heavy the two chunky black ones felt, compared with the lightweight leghorns, especially little Pearl, who is a true leghorn, whereas Lily is a bit more hybrid, with a broader back. Lily's comb looks more upright in the photo but that's just the way it fell at that moment. I can tell them apart when they're together, but it's harder when they're apart. Now they've finished their moult they are temporarily in new Persil plumage - unfortunately Lily was shat upon last summer by a hen on a higher perch, (maybe getting her own back for all the bossing around,) Although I tried to clean her up it left a yellow stain until she changed her feathers.
