What do I use to sterilise my feeders/drinkers?
Is something like Milton OK, or do I need a specialist poultry disinfectant?
And how often do I need to do it?

Sorry to ask so many questions, but you are all so helpful and packed with good advice - so much better than a book. ;)

Thanks

i use miltons to sterilise my incubators
i should imagine it would be ok for drinkers feeders, im lazy and put mine in the dishwasher, then sterilise the dishwasher after

I just wash them out with washing up liquid and hot water. Never sterilised stuff, just a good scrub to clean them.

Yep i agree with snifter i just give them a really good scrubbing with washing up liquid in hot water. Then rinse them out before refilling with clean drinking water.

same as Snifter & Wraith. Though do occasionally use a weak solution of milton or similar with young chicks feeders/drinkers(incubated ones) to help against cocci.
