This is a silly question considering the recommended use of the stuff but -
It doesn’t matter if they eat scratch from the floor where its been used does it?

Nah, no problems from any of my lot beyond them refusing to set foot on the stuff the first time they see it, finally hunger wins out though. It has therefore earned the title of "Red Dust of Doom" in our house. If you really want to be on the safe side leave it a day after which it will have been thoroughly scratched into the run material.

Edit: To cover my backside we don't actually throw scratch down, but you know chickens they are always pecking about at the ground.

Cheers. I throw down a bit of scratch to keep them busy but also ment scratching and pecking around generally. The Auboise is relitivly new/fresh at the moment and I didn't want to move it all to put the powder under till next change so sprinkling on top in patches according to the write up on the tub.
It seems then to be a bit of a miraculous product!

P.S. Covering her backside is a precaution that Blaze also has to go in for at the moment :)

Oh I throw it all around the place till it looks like the surface of Mars

Imagine how good Stalosan G or Stalosan H must be!!!

OMG! Stalosan H would be a probiotic that polished toenails and disintegrated poops on contact - a bit like those exploding cow pats they were experimenting with in the 90's :D

Is there much difference between Stalosan F and BioDri? I purchased BioDri to start my chicken keeping career, should I have got Stalosan F? It sounds like it's all whistles and bells!!

I don’t know RBH. But reading about a bit they both seem to be based on BioVX
http://biolinklimited.co.uk/products/product-detail/disinfectants/biovx

so I’m thinking they are probably very similar dilutions for easy use - if not the same. I’m impressed you clocked onto it from the start - I’ve only just found out from Dino that anything like it exists!

Thanks Rick. I'll carry on with the BioDry. I use Aubiose in the coop and the dry bit of the run and that together with daily poop picking, weekly sprinkling of BioDry and Diotamaceous Earth, seem to keep everything smelling sweet :D
