Think I've seen this asked before but can't remember answer.Just saw a squirrel going in to chicken coop.I seem to have resolved the fox problem now(fingers crossed}so don't need squirrel trouble with hens, they're enough of a problem with my fruit trees.

Grey Squirrels will happily eat any eggs from any birds, though he is probably going in for the chicken food he may well progress to the eggs, plus he will upset the birds and tend to put them off lay. You can live trap squirrels, you may be able to borrow a cage trap from someone.

Thanks,we have a live trap(not in chicken run es bantams would fit in).Got it a couple of years back because of damage squirrels did to my fruit trees, caught loads of the little beggars but there seems to be an inexhaustable supply of them.We seem to have more wildlife problems since moving back to the city than we ever had in the countryside(Benefit st. squirrels maybe).
