Hi, I have 3 lovely peeking ducks that are approx 9 week old, for some ids reason thou 1 of them has developed a squeak the last day or so, seems ok in him self but were he used to tweet to him self or quack it's now a squeak and like a breathing squeak if you get ne, am really worried if any one can help I'd appreciate, thanks

I have two that do this, it is nothing to worry about. They can still quack, just their daily chatter is squeaking instead of quacking. I find it endearing :) it is usually girls that do this though.

But can it all of sudden change because he/she had
More of a deeper squeaking/quacking then all of sudden change about 3 days ago?

Have you been able to sex them yet Paddy? At roughly 6 to 8 weeks the ducklings tweeting will change, the drakes will develop a deeper sound, more of a "hiss" or a sort of whispery quack if that makes sense? The girls will all sound like typical ducks and will quack! :D

Yes they can chop and change, but could it be them getting their male voices? Wasn't sure if they had developed their adult voices yet...

Funny enough the other one also seems to be following suit and we are not hundred percent sure but these are the two we think are drake and the other one is an ourlyright loud quack aha she has to be girl

Yes I'll do that, tonite when there in with me I'll get a bid, thanks
