I keep a lot of leave for this time of year for days like today when it's freezing and snowing on snow and nothings moving except a few 4 x 4's and tractors - so's to be sure the birds are OK.
The muscovies are happy, flying around and chirping and laying eggs. Mrs Goose is stiffening up now but will skip around in the snow, hubby Georgeous isn't aware it's cold. The Runners are not going far and flopping down on their bellies to pull their feet up. Suprisingly none of the birds seem very hungry when I let them out, but they are getting cod liver & veg oil coated on their pellets.
My this year's hatched chooks started laying a few weeks ago.
