just download the Emoji app and the smilie (all all kinds of pics) keyboard is there for use anytime you want...and it's free! You might have to turn your phone off after installing app to make it appear on the keyboard!

Sorry BrookeRN25, I've just deleted some strange codes from your post... I'm assuming these might have been Smiles of some sort? (they were at the beginning and end of your post)
There are a set of Smiles you can use on the forum but maybe the ones you are using in this post aren't coming out in BBCode (what the forum uses).. probably best not to use them on the forum as they don't seem to work...?
The forum works with Tapatalk for mobile phones / ipod / ipad. I use this from time to time and it is very good, far better than using a browser on a phone. There are about 15 or 16 people using this on the forum as far as I can see.

Smiles appear on the right when you post via a PC but I haven't found a way to use them with Tapatalk.
You could type in the characters - i.e : ) (without the space) would give you
and : - ) 9 9 (without the spaces) gives the wave99
