I want to be of help in the preservation of Silver Campine chickens and am anxious to acquire birds for breeding stock. I prefer said acquisitions to be from different sources so as to prevent inbreeding. I'm willing to start with hatching eggs if need be, however chicks or adult birds would be preferred.
Can you help me to contact people who have these birds?
Many thanks.

Hi Paul, and welcome to the Forum. Although we do have some international members they are mostly in Europe, and we are basically a U.K. forum, so I don't think it's very likely that we will be able to help you in your quest for Campine eggs, chicks, or adults. However, we shall be interested to hear how you get on, and you never know - we do have some very knowledgeable people on here and maybe someone will be able to advise you. Good Luck!

Many thanks. All help is good help. I understand that the door has been re-opened for shipment of birds and hatching eggs from the UK and Europe to the US. I'd be 'up' for that. Have a great day! Paul

Hi Paul, your best bet for sourcing birds from the UK would probably be to contact the Rare Poultry Society. Campines (and whole lot of other breeds) seem to fall under their umbrella. Perhaps they could put you in touch with a breeder willing to ship birds or eggs, you never know.
