Hi, just a quick question. What age do silver appleyard start to breed
and how many fertile eggs a year is the norm?

Thanks

That was good then,I haven't got a clue :? .Er,could you tell us please????Then maybe someone on here in the future will know :D .
I've got 2 Aylesbury ducks and an Alyesbury X, but I've only had them a few months,so I'm a very new ducky mummy.

Just got this email of a silver appleyard breeder,

Ducks usually start laying at about 6 months. Although these eggs will be fertile, we don't normally hatch eggs until the following spring when the ducks will be getting on for one year old.

We usually get approx 180-220 eggs per bird per year - this reduces as the birds get older.

That is the same to start then as Aylesbury's,they're supposed to start laying at 26 weeks to.Maybe all ducks are the same?
Thanks for passing the info on.
