Here are my Shetland Ducks and their 2 white campbell friends that came to join them. They have been laying since 15/2/10. :D

They look like Bibbed Hook Bill Ducks without the hooked bills - they must be related :D

Looks like they have a lovely area to roam around, I bet they love it.

They look lovely and cute to me,very sweet.Look clean compared to my ducks........ .

They are thought to have been brought over with Vikings. I got eggs from a farm last year that keeps indigenous breeds and got a hen to sit on them. I will have to have a look at the Bibbed Hook Bill Ducks then.

Well Hook Bills came here from Holland but originated in Asia I believe. They were released onto the canals in Holland by their owners to feed and the white 'bib' was to distinguish them from wild ducks to the hunters.

Here is a photo I took at the British Waterfowl Association National last year - it won best hookbill - a really sweet little duck, very friendly.
