Hi all, well what can i say.... my little red hen is now a little red rooster.... complete with cockledodoodle doo's in the morning!!!!!!! :o I'm rather reluctant to let him go, either free to a good home or dispatched  so having time to ponder  ......could one use a hood re:bird of prey type thing, to keep said fellow in the dark till a more reasonable time???

Any suggestions greatly received whether 'keeping a cockerel' based or 'i'd love to give him a home' based.

Hi Stu,
Oh dear, I had the same problem (as some on here will remember) & I was so fond of my little chap too & he was so friendly & so handsome.

Have you got anything like a childrens petting farm or animal centre near you? I persevered & it took me quite a few weeks (luckily it was before the clocks went back so he wasn't crowing too early) but eventually I found a childrens farm willing to take him & off he went happy ever after! Might be worth a try.

Thats an idea we thought of, there is one up the road, will give them a try.
thanks
