Hi I have just joined the forum. I hope I am doing this right. I have 2 gold silkies and 6 white silkie chics 11 weeks and 6 weeks, I haven't sexed chics before, so at what age will these chics be before i see signs of them being boys and girls

Many thanks

Hi, welcome to the forum :D :-)99 :-)99 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Silkies are a hard breed to sex... Some breeds like wyandottes and cream legbars are easy because the female chicks have ''eyeliner'' from the moment they hatch.
Sometimes, with silkies you cant tell till they crow or lay, but if you keep an eye out for the comb, you should be able to tell. Cockerels develop combs sooner, and they grow bigger than in hens. As they get older, the appearance of larger whattles also becomes a telltale sign.
Hope that helped, sorry, im not very good at sexing silkies!
It might also help if you posted some pics, someone is sure to be able to tell!!
