Sue Sablepoot laid her first egg for me today I know we've all got hens who are laying eggs,but,I am pleased as I wasn't expecting her to lay until spring,also,it's my first bantam egg and perfect .

I thought my bantams had laid their first eggs today but realised they were a bit big to come from them so it seems my Welsummers have invaded their house and plopped out a couple of brown eggs there. Cheek!

It is very cheeky of your welsummers,don't they like their nest box????
As to egg size,this egg is tiny,but,compared to Sue it's huge .I can't decide to either eat it,or blow it and save it.

Already done,she was very pleased with herself.Yesterday and today they've spent a lot of time with me,one on each of my shoulder's and Jenny on my head.They are the best company.
