Hi, 2 of my Blackrock chooks have slight runny noses, while my 2 speckledy dont. Apart from this they appear to be fine with clear bright eyes excellent appetites and are very perky and laying well and their plumage is in excellent condition. Could this be a result of the very cold weather we're experiencing at the moment or is this a cause for concern?

Hi
I wouldn;t worry too much about runny noses in this weather, given them some apple cider vinegar and crushes garlic in their water, also warm layers meal is good to keep the birds warm.
Whilst the weather is cold, birds like us can pick up colds with sneezes and runny noses. They don;t seem to have the sense to under cover when it starts to rain :? :?

Try and give the birds shelter away from the wind. If the birds get other symptoms then let the forum know and we will try and point you in the right direction.

Thank you for that I will keep a close watch on them.
