The more i read about the runners and the more i see them i want some, i wish i had more land to keep them. :(

Rita, we have started with 4 runners & now I WANT more.Just can't decide weather to go & get 4 more or wait till next spring & get a drake so we can breed. They had a pond clean today & one even stood with her bill open to catch the water spray from the hose  ,if only I'd had the camera. They have also taken to sitting on me if I lay with them :D [just remember to put a towel on you ;) ].

Runners are so amusing! I love seeing them try to take off! Wings flapping madly and a sort of hop skip and and jump with the legs, most bizzare! :D :D

hi to the member who would like runners, get a drake now so it can settle in i have just had to let duck and 6 ducklings go to a friend because i would end up with 22 birds thats including duckling i find they lay for a while then wont to sit this one did when i went down to let them out she was walking around garden she had got out of pen and nested in garden under some bushes i now have another 1 that wonts to sit ,i find them comically to watch especially at food time so go for it get a drake

Andrea I usually have the odd young drake available if you want one this year :D I have a nice black drake called Agent Smith that is quite a character at the moment... :D :D
