At what age do roosters start to become fertile and sexually active...someone told me it happens when they start crowing??

Hi, sometimes they can be fertile before crowing :shock: If he is crowing well then he should be fertile.

My Maran cockerell is 6 months old crowing his head off and proven fertile. Does anyone want him?

My white orp cockerel is 8 months old and it's only in the past week we've seen him perform his duty! - There have been no fertile eggs up til now so I don't think it was just that we hadn't spotted him 
He went in with his wives when he was only about 10 weeks old and although they weren't much older I think he's been hen pecked up til now! Have also recently trimmed their feathers around the vents so hopefully soon I might get a fertile egg
