Roo or Pullet?

Hi all,.. Newbee here,.. Can anyone tell me if my two 'Blue Partridge Brahmas' are boy or girl
.. One has a dark head, the other one has a light coloured head,.. The age is 16 weeks old.

I am a learner in poultry, but have seen conflicting views on other pics.. some say about the feathers,..or the Wattles and Comb.. I always thought that at this age the Comb and wattles should be prominent.. in which case I would have said mine are girls? ... or am I wrong?

I too am new to keeping chickens. If I had to guess I would say she is a beautiful Pullet. I had to ask the same question a couple of months ago.
This is a GREAT site with A LOT of experienced and helpful people.

The bottom photo is a pullet, the top I would have said pullet by markings, but the head seems rather male, would need a another side on photo of them both to be sure. The male brahma would be more leggy at 16 weeks than the female and feathering should be looking different too for a partridge male.

Hello Tally and welcome to the forum,
I would say "what beautiful girls" - hope I'm right!.
Bramahs are exceptionally beautiful. I do not aspire to them, as I now have so many people wanting eggs from me, and I just adore my hybrid egg layers, Warrens, Columbians black tails, Bluebell and Whitestar.
I hope however, to add some Croad Langshans, and damn the eggs. I got close up and personal to some in Pencarrow in Cornwall, and for me it was love at first sight.

Well thank you for the replies,.. I hope they are pullets.. as I have also got what I thought was a trio of Buff Orpington,.. affraid there are 2 cockrels... you win some,.. you lose some I guess... thanx again... here is the top one on a different pic. foxy.?
