Help! My little mille fleur is poorly! I heard a sneeze about a week ago but only found out who is was on Friday.
I have got ACV in their water (have had since Friday) and am giving her Baytril once daily but today I have been watching her and whilst she is running about like the others her chest is "heaving" if you know what I mean when breathing, big breaths with the occasional gape.. not great.
No bubbly eyes or runny nose, coud this be Myco? Or would you say its a respiratory infection?? Typically it has happened at the weekend.
I have wonder tablets given to me a while back for my little Dottie hen who had myco, desperate to use them but not sure if she has full bown myco.
I am probably overreacting but I have lost 2 birds to respiratorys / myco this year, that and I had to say goodbye to my much loved 14 year old cat on Friday. I am still hurting over losing him and REALLY don't want to lose another animal in the same week! :-)06

Sorry to hear you are having problems with your Millie Aileen. Not knowing what these wonder tablets are it is hard to advise. If the Baytril doesn't work I would certainly pay a visit to the vet tomorrow. When mine had respiratory problems the vet gave them Tylan. Hope shes all right; I've got my fingers, toes etc. crossed for you.

I am sorry you lost your cat, my heart goes out to you. If in doubt I would take your chicken to the vets, may need a course of anti biotics

soory to hear about your hen i have found that a little bit of olbas oil in the coop will help with the breathing and ease congestion although not a cure it does in my experience give you a fighting chance to cure with antibiotics My vet prescribed by birds with tylan or teramycin soluble
