Rescued Mallard

Just an update... the day old rescued mallard is twelves weeks today. She integrated into my other ducks on her own, eventually they let her in! She was there this morning when we let the ducks out, but this afternoon she has flown away! She flew into my neighbours garden to visit her ducks, before taking flight over the house and away. So glad she made it, but sad that she has gone, such a tough little character! Was a pleasure to raise her!!

Well done, you did your job well and raised her so she could return to the wild where she belongs.I can understand how bittersweet that must be but the call of the wild was obviously very strong. Maybe she'll return one day?
