Again, not been on here in a long time, but last time I was we bought 5 young chicks, and as they were my first I was worried they wouldnt survive, but they are now 'proper' chickens and all survived!!
And they were hybrids, so I was interested as to what they'd look like..
So I thought while I have time, and recent photos I thought I should update you, and of course some other photos of the other girls
We also had trouble naming them, but they are all now named, and are doing very well with the others, and are growing nicely, one too much!
Hope everyone and their chooks are okay and coping with the cold weather, and getting ready for Christmas
So here we go!
This is Vladimir, Cream Legbar Cockerel
Peggy, who I can only assume is a bit of a Blue Ranger? (she is also enormous, and towering above the relatively large hens!)
Splodgie, and you can tell why she was named that, but it doesnt apply anymore!
Maggie, who is just a pretty hybrid-y chook
And last but not least, Lily!
And now a few photos of them the other day
Peggy towering above Vlad!
Mr. Vlad
Peggy
Splodgie and Vlad, then a swarm of chooks behind
My darling Bronwyn, one of the first ExBatts
]
Brandy, another Exbatt
Lily
Sheila
Several chooks
Not a great photo, but you can clearly see the size difference!
