hi guys
well i hope you are all keeping warm with this awful weather our chooks
seem to tolerate more than we do must be getting old :lol: about six weeks ago
i hatched five great d,anvers ive still got thm in a semi heated place the cockrel has started
to crow but not succesfuly yet is this normal for something so young ive got cochins that are coming up
for six months and not a peep from them if lydia reads this hows bertie hope he is well

Different breeds mature at different rates and usually I would say start trying to crow around 10 or 12 weeks but then I keep large fowl that are slower to mature.

Others that keep d'Anvers might be able to help a little more but I certainly wouldn't worry ;)
 
Hi Tony,

bantams certainly seem to mature quicker than large fowl,and,Bertie say a big 'hi'.He tried crowing to you yesterday,but I guess you didn't hear him :lol: .
