I bought an Rcom Suro 20 yesterday. Default setting for humidity is 45% but its reading anything between 46%-50% iv lowered the humidity setting to 40% but it keeps creeping back up to around 49%. Has anyone had a similar problem or have any idea how to stabalise the humidity??

There is a little vent at the top you can use but to be honest I have the same incubator and despite being set at 45% it is reading 70 at the moment as I have ducklings hatching. It is good at raising the humidity but not so good at lowering it!
Also just to let you know of a problem mine had. The turning cradle can be temperamental and either stick or work but in a jerky manner. I have had it stop completely or tip violently spilling the contents out as the lid has come off. I just took the turning device apart and refitted it an this seems to cure it...for a while. No idea why it does it but I thankfully only had cracked eggs not broken completely!

The humidity will fluctuate a little bit, don't worry..

It's the long term average over the incubation period that matters. When I tested the RCOM Suro it was very successful

If you are using the automatic setting, the humidity will increase in the last couple of days of incubation as well which is normal.

Judging by all the feedback I've seen, the Suro is one that you either love or hate. I thought it was love when I first met it but three hatches later hatred set in followed by divorce !

I found it difficult to change the settings.

It's a shame yours is creeping the humidity up as I find higher is more damaging than lower.
