Hi I need some advice please. I am new at keeping chickens and have had three warrens for about 3 months now. All look healthy and I am getting 3 eggs a day regular as clockwork. Just within the last week or so one of the girls has taken to dragging out all the shavings from the nest boxes and the main house, she dislodges the perches and on one occasion I found a perch outside the pop hole? is this normal or is she just a nutter?

Any tips welcome :?

YOU HAVE A NUTTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I carnt think of any thing, only that she is taking the scratting to extremes, perhapes she doesnt like the bedding you put in your nesting boxes? Is she young and starting to become broody? {fluffing of feathers, clucking noises}

She does make a fair bit of noise and I think she must be about 22 weeks old as she was the smallest and last to lay. She is quite noisy bit have noticed any fluffing of feathers? I will change the bedding and see if that works, I always get one egg not in the nesting box, sometimes outside the house, I am pretty sure it is her so changing the bedding might work.
