I have a problem regarding delivery of a few chickens to Peterborough (I'm in Pembrokeshire) I have used UKpigeoncouriers before (and they were great!) but they have apparantly stopped delivering chickens to concentrate on the pigeons. I have tried JM couriers (again, very helpful but don't do Wales!) and then another courier company who despite saying they could do the run for £40 have now let me down :x

Anyone got any ideas of who else I can try?? Or anyone going from Pembs to Peterborough in the next few weeks and fancying some extra passengers ;) ?

i received an email the other week.
i think it must of come through our website

we pick up and drop birds all over the uk 0161 7375156
from [email protected]
no idea what the company is though

Thanks, will give it a try!- What is your website btw- love a good nose I do :D

On the bid4poultry website i noticed they have an e-mail link [email protected] who advert says "Couriers4Poultry" You could give them a try i have not used them myself though. I also found a website called http://www.jmlivefishandaquariacouriers.co.uk/ who have prices for transporting birds/poultry

Also found these 3 listed below.

I normally use ukpigeon couriers but i guess if they are not shipping poultry at the moment i will have to find a different courier as well

I had someone pick up a cockerel and used jmlivefishandaquariacouriers, and I personally would not recommend them, very dis-organised. I had to chase them to find out when they were picking up the birds, said would be either of 2 days, did not call me back and just turned up at the door!! took 36 hours to deliver the bird only 70 miles up the road, the couriers rang me as the person they were delivering to was out (once again they had not phoned him to say when they were dropping him off).

The bid4poultry one is the one which I was originally trying to use- As I now understand it they've been set up because ukpigeoncouriers have stopped with the poultry and they have only been going for a week- They have been very helpful but are (understandably!) having a couple of teething problems.
At the moment its not viable for them to come to the back of beyond and collect :D The chap I was in contact with has now very kindly said that he'll let me know when he has more deliveries my way to make it cost effective so I should be okay soon I hope ;)

Can i just mention about the Jolliffe couriers ,they are not to be trusted at all. I asked his buisness partner to collect an animal from europe ,giving them the money for the the job which was £550. and 800 euros to take to the breeder .This was 4 weeks ago ,the animal was not collected ,and no explanation was given as to why.excuse after excuse, they still have the money over £1000. So please spread the word . the partners name is cindys couriers but are the same company as they reside at same address. I ended up paying again for the breeder to bring the animal to calais ,plus also paying him the balance for the animal.. P.s the defra license ran out months ago.
