Thanks to you both! He's probably Blue but he has some white feathers coming through so not sure what's going on there! I don't really mind as he's such a cutie and looked like he wasn't going to make it (Had to help him out of the shell after I had lots of various chicks pip and die in my incubator )
The chamois were in a different incubator so I have loads of those beauties running about- as well as cream legbars and light sussex. The polands are the funniest though - they are quite mad!
Hi, the feathers will probably turn out blue- it's hard to breed a good coloured blue hen- the shades vary, what everyone wants is an even colouring- hard to obtain, you have so much "waste" and breeding black to blue (as i do) is even worse- i have no blue chicks yet this year- and only 5 from 70 last year

     no problem -you are more than welcome that's the luck of the draw- i have one incubator and two broodies on poland eggs so, fingers crossed- two of my blue hens are older than me  and i only have a year old hen to replace them with- hope they last another year
regards, David
Thought I'd update with new pics of the lovely poland- he now has black feathers too! A few white feathers in his tail, lots in wings- looks like my mottled pekin did when he was a chick!
So... he's not a blue David so I can stop feeling bad
He is incredibly cute- I think he's even sweeter as he's the only odd poland amongst all my chamois ones! I love the angel wings thought- hadn't thought of it but it's soooo true!
Every time I hatch there's at least one I fall deeply in love with!
