Hello,

I have had many emails about the Pekin Bantams Forum. All I know is that it is no more (the PB website is still there) this wasn't a rumour, I heard it from Tom at the Poultry Journal and I have looked for it myself.

Simon and the moderators did a fantastic job running the PB forum for 9 or 10 years and I was very upset when I heard it had finished. It was a small goldmine of information for us all.

So why have I put this forum online? Well, since last October, I have been working on a hobby site called poultrykeeper.com (note the address of this forum is poultrykeeperforum.com) and I was looking to upgrade the little forum we have on there as it grows.

When I heard that PB forum was no more, I decided to launch poultrykeeperforum before time as a meeting place for everyone who is looking for the Pekin Bantams Forum. If people decide to move on in time or there is another project running to replace the PB forum, that is fine by me but for now, it is somewhere to try to gather some of the old PBF community in one place.

If people are happy to stay here... it is an open book so to speak. There are almost no posts, the categories and forums are flexible and can fit what people want and I would of course be happy to see you here.

You will need to register here. As time allows, I will make the log in to poultrykeeper.com and poultrykeeperforum.com the same and will provide a link between the sites but for now, they are completely stand alone sites.

The success of this depends on whether people find us. Word of mouth is the only way at present. If you can email people you know who used to be on the old forum that would really help. We do not appear in Google yet (at the time of writing this forum has been running for less than 48 hours) so I am paying Google (ouch) for a sponsored ad to appear for the specific search 'Pekin Bantams Forum'

Webmasters - PLEASE Link to us and make announcements on your site if you can. Remember the address is http://poultrykeeperforum.com not poultrykeeper.com... I will create a new logo for the top of the forum as soon as I can!

Thanks,

Tim

Hi Tim

Thank goodness for this site!

I was a keen member of Pekin Bantams. My old laptop had given up the ghost so I bought a new fancy model and whenI clicked on to Pekin Bantams for the first time - there was no forum!! I thought my new machine wasn't working properly, so got my son to try on his computer with the same response.

I was devastated! What was I to do with my afternoons? Was this just temporary or for ever? Anyway, I have just been diverted to this new site and am sure it will catch on. Well done and good luck!

Best wishes

Bunty

Thank you for this.

I'm glad to have somewhere to go. I've not be active so much for a while on PB due to life being hectic but I did lurk and had some pics of my new hatch to share.

Happy to be here :) Using a new username here however.

Hiya everyone,

I am a member on the Pekin Bantams forum AND poultrykeeper so now I've registered on here too! :D Still under my original username also. Glad to be here, and keep up the good work.

Well done. i was a bit put out at suddenly finding the pekinbantams forum was no more. I had been away for a bit, hatching lots of chicks and ducklings. As someone new to the hobby last autumn I found the pb forum incredibly useful, entertaining and informative.

I wondered where the forum had gone too! There was no warning, just *poof* gone! Finally found you all again. :P
