Hi,
Anyone have any advice on using those plastic paddling pools/sandpits for ducks, after having seen plenty of pictures of them on ebay when looking at hatching eggs, I bought 2 yesterday, however they look like they are not the easiest things for ducks to get into and more importently get out of, the sides are about 8ins high, with a rounded corner at the bottom, meaning anything I put in it for the ducks to get onto is going to be possibly 8ins from the side, I will only be using them for almost fully grown ducks, and the goslings when they are bigger. Any suggestions and ideas on using them safely, will be much appreiciated.
Thanks,
Sue

Hi, what i do is to put a couple of breeze blocks- around the pools- and an old house brick in it- that way the ducks can get in and out easily and it's also good for the goslings- my old geese just step in! I use argos blue plastic sandpits- round and good value for money- they do the job great :)
regards, David :)

i have a board that they use as a ramp to get in mine and a couple of big pebbles inside for them to get out i got a shell shaped one.

mine get in and out easy but they full grown, when they were small i put bricks in 1 side as one of my ducks had deformed leg but other 2 managed
