Hi just woundering how to control the bottom beek from over growing, all my hens bar the cockral have this. Do i trim the beek with pet claw clippers? They are freerange and have acsess to all sorts of ground, grass, gravel, soil. many thanks

Presume these are Hybrid hens Wcah. They cut the top beak during rearing to stop them pecking each other as a result of the cramped conditions they are kept in. The top beak usually grows back but there are always some that don't. I wouldn't advocate any trimming whatsoever unless a photograph showed me that they are abnormally long. Their little tongue runs in the bottom beak and needs to be fully supported, which is why the bottom is left untrimmed. Otherwise the underside of the tongue could get damaged and infected.
