Ouch!

Just had to share this post from a member who is a bus driver, in the Dustbath section of Practical Poultry Forum yesterday.


"How about this conversation between two customers on my bus, they seem to think the driver is deaf by the way or our cab block sounds.

"I am upset we're out of Europe, I liked New Zealand lamb"

"Where is New Zealand exactly anyway?"

"It's that funny bit below Italy, I think, there is Welsh lamb but it's from another animal so not really lamb at all"

When they got off I said "ladies the funny bit under Italy is Sicily home of lemons and the Mafia. New Zealand is near Australia, Wales has more sheep than people and they have lots of lovely lambs reared by wonderful people in a lovely country which is attached to England"

They replied "aint you clever"
Scary or what, one was pregnant so the genes are being passed on."

I blame the teachers myself Marigold

I do sometimes wonder if ignorance is bliss. I remember during the first Gulf War my cousin, who never watched the news nor read a newspaper, having no idea at all who Saddam Hussein was. We all had a lot of fun at her expense but in retrospect when I think about it she wasn't really any worse off than me for not knowing was she?.

Just read this....it's just too funny! Sad though as well, as I am sure there are a lot of people out there who think like that. I used to be a teacher dinosaw. I started my career thinking there was not such thing as a child who was truly stupid, but sadly after quite a short time I had to change my opinion. In most cases though it's too much TV and lack of interaction with their parents. Mind you they are the nth generation of children who have experienced such an upbringing, so their parents don't have any positive experiences to fall back on.

Oops, too much of a rant there, sorry.
