I just went to turn my eggs,(manual turn incubator obviously)and 2 were stuck together :? .They weren't when I last turned them.I carefully seperated them, and a small piece of shell was stuck on the one from the other. The membrane looked intact,so,cradling it in my hand I went downstairs to paint some clear nail varnish over the chip.
I couldn't find my clear nail varnish,so used Tuff Cover, like nail varnish, meant to stop nails from splitting/breaking etc.Only,on the shell around the chip, was some clear looking liquid,so,the membrane must have torn/broken slightly.
These eggs are all fertile, chicks developing well.Due to hatch in 3 days time,on thurs.
Will this save the chick,or will it be already dying?
