Hi,
Been nosing around the forum for a week or so now, so thought I had better join rather than snoop
Also very new to poultry keeping... I totally blame Lydia for me getting chooks after meeting hers  although it was something hubby and I had talked about but never got round to.
Pets I have include one adorable siamese cat, numerous koi carp and 5 very sweet but extremely noisey lovebirds.
New to the fold since last week are 5 light sussex chicks, nearly 2 weeks old now and doing great. Hoping to collect 2 Pekins soon once my shed is ready.
I adore the pekins, so hope to abtain a few different colours, the Sussex i am hoping to keep mainly for eggs. Also looking at a few Vorwerks.
God I am an addict already

Hi Kym and welcome----if you are an addict already just wait a while ,it will get worse! Lydia is sure to be along later to say hello but she can't come out till after dark! Ros

Hi Podstable,

must remind her not to let out to many of my secrets

Hiya hun,

welcome to the best poultry forum :D ,although I'm sure I mentioned that to you previously ;) .
Ros,of course I'm at my best at night......most vampires are  :P .
I'd also like to point out, that it wasn't my cute, adorable, lovable chooks that got Kym interested....it was their tasty eggs :D .

:o Lydia! you fibber! lmao. the eggs are a bonus, but not going to be eating the pekin eggs... although Max enjoyed those...
btw hun the new incubator arrived yesterday morning thank goodness, all set and ready. will also find out in the next 3 days if the lovebird eggs were fertile.....I hope so seeing she has sat them so devotedly.

Hello Kym,

A warm welcome to the forum. I'm pleased you've joined us and very happy that you have found the fantastic hobby of keeping chickens!

See you in the forums ;)

Tim
