Since I lost my pekin cockerels ( and most of my girls :( ) to a fox several months ago my girls have been living with a bunch of growers - some of whom I'll be keeping as my replacement flock!
Yesterday I picked up a lovely pair of pekins (think they're silver wheaten) and as I know the lady who I got them from well (and her birds!) I popped them straight into the pen with my girls after checking them over.
My girls have been hilarious to watch - crouching down as soon as the cockerel so much as glances their way and have been suffering the wrath of his first "wife" because of their slatternly behaviour- very amusing, beats Eastenders any day!
The new cockerel has also been trying to fight my speckled sussex through the fence despite being a third of his size! - Silly boy: You'd think with 4 more ladies ready for action his attention would be elsewhere! Will get some pics of them on once they've stopped fighting and acting the fool

Some cockerels have the most fabulous personalites, and some can turn nasty or just a bit "peppery" just adds to the excitement of trying to feed them in the morning!

Most of my boys being faverolles have the most placid natures, I have one early hatched salmon bantam boy who is turning rather mischievious at the mo..a bit excitable and finds it fun hanging of my sleeve in the morning!!! I tell him off he just drops both wings and mutters to himself, most peculiar..trys his luck with the big guys and gets away with murder!! :D :D

I like the personalities of the boys too! My large fowl cockerels (orp, speckled sussex and cream legbar) are calm and friendly and only had a go at each other through the fence for a day or so when they first arrived . . . My bantam poland boy is the nastiest one we have- he's not aggressive as such but as you say , he tries his luck! we pick him up and cuddle him like a baby until he behaves
