I was looking at a picture of Boris Johnson in a news item this week. Can't remember what it was about. And I couldn't help thinking that if he would just brush his hair it might give him maybe some semblance of dignity? Some whiff of taking his job seriously? Because he always looks as if he's treating the whole thing as a huge lark, like he's off on a college prank, and it's all too funny. I freely admit, I don't follow politics at all, not even our own, but he stands out as someone who looks like he hasn't a clue what he's doing, and is trying to bluff his way through.

Last week we had a Donald Trump egg. I opened a box of bought eggs, one had a small ginger feather stuck to the top. In a very grown up fashion I added a face to the shell and DT sat on the windowsill until this lunchtime when he was eaten....
