Vorwerk, hatched March started laying in September just been through moult and started laying again this week. I was led to believe that they wouldn't moult in their first year?

Hi,
most birds don't moult in their first year,but yours did hatch quite early on in the year,march.Did she have a full moult or partial?
Pleased that she's laying again.

Hi chickanne,

Mine were hatched May & they also had a partial moult. I didn't expect eggs this year due to timing of their maturity but despite this terrible weather & dark days one has been presenting me with her first eggs, now she's started she can't stop
