I'm going the national show this year,to meet a friend who does exhibit her chooks, when I spoke to her tonight, she still hasn't recieved her entry form yet.
she did compete last year, and, has contacted the Poultry Club by phone and email requesting the entry form but still hasn't recieved it.Has anyone else who shows had a problem getting their entry form this year?

I don't enter the National - but when I have contacted them in the past, they have always been slow to respond. I guess they must have heaps of paperwork to do for the show...

Thanks Tim,if they go any slower though, they will lose an entry.Dog shows always wanted as many entries as possible,so always got entry forms etc out quick.I suspect it isn't just my friend.

Hi Lydia

We got our entry forms out a few weeks ago now, cannot remember the exact date. I think Tim is probably right.. the national is absolutely massive to organise - over 5000 exhibits - so the organisers will be run off their feet this week.

Their secretary is Ann (she is meant to be part time but I know that she does a stack load of hours). I would think it is probably worth phoning her since it is urgent. She is a lovely lady

I know how many weeks of unpaid work that I put in as secretary of our 2 local shows (though my shows have "just" 1250 and 350 exhibits). I cannot imagaine how many hours of work Ann and the PCGB put in for a show with 5000 exhibits. So please be patient and understanding to the show secretaries.. please - though I understand you must be very frustrated.

Also, there has been some delays with postage up here too with postage strikes breaking out intermittently.. this may be affecting your form if it has been posted out in recent days.

Hazel
