Here we go again..... Nancy is wheezing and hardly able to breath today, no sneezing, no runny eyes or puffed face etc. just struggling to breath.
EVERY time I relax, she sneaks up behind me and blows me away with another health scare? GOD she's a pest!
She's laying, plus the photos I posted the other day show her with red comb, bright eyes etc, so how this came on I have no idea :(

Saw something about this on French TV. I thought it was Sahara dust blowing up (but my French isn't good) and that could easily cause breathing problems. Our car had a coating of dust on it yesterday, but the torrential rain washed it all off today.

Sadly, no Sahara desert dust in devon. Nothing on the car and I know what it looks like having lived through it in London before. It's been raining all day and she refuses (like the other 2 sensible girls) to go upstairs and stay dry, so not helping herself being damp.
Will see how she is in the morning and go from there. Nothing surprises me with my little pest, but not sounding too good :(

Did you take her to the vet or due they sell them over the counter?

Baby bantam I asked because you can't get them on this side of the pod with out a vet either. I thought te UK might be more liberal.

You can get antibiotics in Spain certainly. Because the breeder local to us buys loads from there mail order because they are cheap. So I don't know if you can get them here- perhaps you can but they are expensive relative to Spain? She mixes cocktails of stuff to hit the birds with for respiratory problems. The cockerel we bought from her has a very raspy doodle so perhaps he had an infection and was treated. He is fine now.

Sometimes I wish you could get them over the counter Nitram, it's the vets bills that cost, the drugs are pennies. Problem is, free access would cause widespread overuse. It's a cruel circle if you've not got the money, but want to save a much loved pet.
