Hellow my Friends.
Your wisdom and help is needed.
My cockrell is unwell ,head down lifting from time to time, foamy clear substunce from his beak comming out and sticking to his wattles.this stuff looking like boogie just in clear colour. His eyes bright and looking goof.I checked his beak after cleaning all this gunk and inside his mouth is all looking healthy and pink.Standing usually in one spot with head hunging down. His poo is yellowish/green with whith wite part very runny. When he crow is like he learning to do it and his voice is not wright. He would eat wet mash but not seen him drinking anything.I had given him aspiryn today but will see if this had any result tomorrow.I had separeted him from the others as other cocrell had started attack him.
Does anyone of you had expirienced something simular?
This is second day,he is unwell and this come out of the blue.
I will be very graetfull for any sugestion :-)19

Sorry Tygrysek, I can only offer sympathy, not wisdom, as I haven't yet experienced this myself. Green poo sounds like an infection; the only time any of my girls have had green poo I've hand fed them mealworms dusted with Poultry Spice, to boost their immune system. (There aren't any poultry-friendly vets near me.)
It's worked so far, but maybe I've just been fortunate. Worth a try though, if you've got some Poultry Spice at home.

Hope he pulls through; keep us posted.

Sounds like a respiratory infection Tygrysek. We've had two with all the damp getting into a coop and no wind to dry it out. 5 day course of Baytril and new bedding sorted them out. The hens cough up the goo and swallow it though.

It does seem rather sudden to have such serious symptoms Tyg, how does he feel weight - wise? Normal or light? Does his face look at all swollen, change in colour? any unusual smell from his beak, any breathing difficulties. Check his crop, normally where there is evidence of digestive tract problems ( green, watery droppings) this also tracks upwards into the crop and can causes slow motility of crop contents leading to a "mushy" crop.

I think at this point you can only give supportive care, keep him stress free and isolate from the other birds. Keep him hydrated and maybe a little scrambled egg if he feels like it.

Good luck with your boy.

This is totally out of the blue.We have nice wether here,no dump, plenty of air inside the cop as I replaced entire wall for wire mesh for the summer. He is healthy, strong bird, heavy and no other symptoms than what I had mentioned before. No change on his face. His crop is soft,I had nocited unplesent smell from his beak, but not very strong, not eunugh to be suspitius.
Seing him today he seems to have less of this mucus, but still having his head down.I had given him yesterday aspirin and today he got echinacea to boost his immune system. Will try to feed him later grapes and maybe water with honey.Hope he will perk up eventually. My vet will be tommorow at surgery so I may go to see him if no change for better.

Just an update on my cockrell health, after weekend he got bavk on his feet and on Monday I had put him with the others.I was giving him aspiryn and echinacea.
On Monday my lovely hen Silver/grey Dorking died. She was sitting on the eggs and chicks had the hatch time for Sunday June 30th.She was still very warm when I had found her.Not sure of reason of hr death. Her comb was purple/blue ,she was laing on her side with eggs all over the nest like she must have some convultions. When I lifted her out of the nest and her head went down some sort of clear liquid come out of her beak. Her eyes where shut I had opened them to check for any changes, they had been none. Her beak was opened.
I do not have any red mite ,non of other are afected.Any idea?

Purple comb says heart attack Tygrysek -hatching takes a lot out of them as you know. Fluid could be co-incidental, like she had just been out for a drink, but I've only seen it with bronchitis in any quantity. Sorry to hear that. Did you manage to get the eggs into an incubator?

Thank you Chris, yes the eggs went to incubator which I had to find i garage full of boxes(we packed everything due to house renovation). She was seating on Reves phesant eggs, hope they make it.Due date for Sunday.
