Its taken me a while to post, didnt think i could become so attached to a couple of ducks but, i'm absolutely gutted, a fox has killed the both of them.

Oh dear, I'm so sorry, what a terrible thing to happen. Were they your only birds? What sort were they?
Everyone on here will feel for you, it's the worst nightmare for all of us. We just get so damned fond of them, don't we?

so sorry to hear that, if you need any fencing tips give us a shout, I lost one through poor fencing, now I have the equivalent of duck alcatraz!

That is such sad news, how long had you had them? Always terrible to hear about losses like yours, feel very sorry for you.

They were indian runners and would follow me everywhere.

Oh no...that is sad. :( We do get so fond of them don't we? I have runners, and although they drive me spare at times, love them pieces!

that is very sad, i know how you feel i lost one of my chickens to a fox a couple of weeks ago i just got home from work at lunch time and i found her with her head bitten off she was still warm so he must of just done it, so that was it i went off and got myself a electric fence, hopefully the chickens and ducks will be safe now.
the trouble is the fox has to eat and we have to make sure are little darlings are as safe as possible, he still comes around and sits on the patio at night looking to see if he can get in.
