heres my 4 new little ladies they are so cuteeeeeeeeeeeeeee and make the most wonderfull noise :D the pics are not that brillant for some reason so i will try and get better ones and also pics of thier new house which is 95% finished but i cant move it into the run and complete it and let them move in as now its pouring with rain :( so they wont get to move in until maybe next weekend which is such a shame as i cant wait to see them in there am going to use compost as the bedding for them they will adore playing in that and very easy to change and get rid of { just chuck it on a rasied bed } hopfully it will fir onto a old plastic table top which wil be raised of the ground a few inches so they house should never get wet as they will be living n here all year round unless it goes that yukky and cold then i will move them indoors .the house is 5ft by 3 ft with 2 seprate netted roofs so i can open only one side at a time to try and prevent them flying out will they are being cleaned hopfully it should work

only took me most of yesterday to make it but i am debating wether to unscrew it and take it out now section by section and rebuild it as its not raining that hard but i just dont want any of it to get wet inside and the table top i was going to use is soaking wet but i cant wait for them to move in there   tpyical weather has to ruin your plans , only cost £18 an that was for the 2 corrugated sheets :D

pics of the girls in thier new home but i still need to sort out the roof as i want to seprate roofs just to be awkward  but i think i might have fun finding the eggs in the paper , i was going to put them on compost but i completely forgot we had some at the front of the house an the paper was to hand as it was already in the run and it started to rain so i thought what the hell they can have this for now besides they can snuggle down in it and keep warmer :D

thats why i will get more oneday  i am learning with these 4 which is why i only got 4 to start with good idea when you dont know what your doing with the breed really .

i had fun today seacrhing for eggs in the paper chips  didnt find any but so far i am 99.99% set for having quails only omgggggggggg so much easier and it hasnt been a week yet i'm hooked :D made them a curtain tonight to cover the front open end during the night so they should be cosy but i really must admit they do love the paper they have been snuggling down in it most the day even thought i had lost the white one as i could not see her at first

that looks lovely for your girls.
i had mine out on grass with conifers for them to hide in, they do like sand to have a dust bath in, i put some sand in a box and the box in a cat litter tray so the bottom of the box didn't get wet from the grass it has worked out brilliant, i put a lid on and a hole for them to get in and out so i don't lose to much sand from them chucking it all on themselves.
like you i only have 4, but they are great.
debating whether to hatch some more this year. :D

i finally left the sliver sand out to dry and they love it actually need to top it up later :D i adore them and i wish mine could go on grass but they cant at the mo but once the other run is built then maybe for next year i can convert the area why the bantams are now { once they move into the new run } and grass that over for the quails and just move the pens up and down but i also like the idea of making more pens like i have done but having them up on legs to about waist height so i dont need to stuggle with them , yesterday i finally secured down the pvc roof so that lifts up first then i can lift up the netting roofs to get to them but i need to find a way of tieing up the first roof which will make things easier for me :D might also be changing the bedding as well as the paper isnt working out for the horses so looks like i will be going back to aubriose which means the chickens will as well just hoping that will keep them warm enough for the winter were as the paper the love to snuggle down in it and makes them look even cuter
