my new chickens

Hi, I am new here, and I have 6 chickens. I got 4 from a farmer, and they were a sussex called jaffa, an ancona called speckles, a rhode island red called ruby, and snowy breed unknown, we were told aruacana, but she lays light beige eggs? a few weeks later we got two from a hatchery a dominant blue called bluebell and a dominant black called sooty. 5 girls 2.jpgjaffa.jpgsnowy.jpgspeckles.jpg
 
Thank you. This is the first time I have ever owned chickens, and I wish I had done it years ago, they are so lovely :D

Do you know what breed the white one may be?
 
It does look like an aruacana to me but I am no expert on chicken breeds. Hopefully someone else on here will know. She looks a lovely girl. :)

What a lovely little gang! They all look so well and happy! I hope you have fun with them! Ros
 
I'm not convinced it is a pure araucana. Probably crossed with something else. It has the cheek feathering but not the top of head feathering my araucanas have. Also with a pure bred araucana the eggs are a duck-egg blue colour. Lovely mix of birds.
 
snowy could possiby be a bantam faverolles cross, how many toes does she have out of interest? She is very sweet looking :D

You're gals are just lovely, happy and healthy looking!!
I had a bluebelle hybrid a couple of years ago and I had a huge soft spot for her, they're just beautiful. Look forward to hearing more of your chicki antics going forward
 
Thank you for your kind comments Aileen. The girls all settled very well when we got them. Ruby has the biggest personality and likes to be very vocal ;) and all 6 have laid eggs for the past couple of days :D So I am very impressed :D
