My girls, on a grey day in April

At last, I've worked out to reduce the size of my pictures so that they will appear on the forum.

I don't know much about photography, and I wasn't using my point and shoot digital (that's gone to Portugal with my daughter), but Hubby's great big digital SLR (that sounds indecent!).
Apparently I had all the wrong settings - who cares about ISO in the real world??

Anyway, the upshot is that everything came out with a reduction in blues, so the combs look a bit flourescent.
I've adjusted as best I can (i.e. pressed the colour balance button on the computer).
Here they are anyway.

This is one of my new girls, Amber

And here is my other new girl, Bella - she looks like she's been dropped in a barrel of oil.

This is Lemony, who seems to be able to mine for polystyrene - I have no idea where it is coming from, but she knows how to find it and runs like the wind when I try and take it off her - little madam!Lemony small.jpg
And Buffy, the baby of the flock and my son's favourite

Hi Liz,

Amber and Bella are like looking in a mirror! ( if you know what I mean)

They are ALL adorable.... I would love a Lemony and Buffy colour. Lemony, or LEM-OWN-NEE (pronounced this way), is a greek name, and having lived in Greece, I wanted to name all mine after herbs, olives, and lemon trees-forgetting that one has to be diplomatic.

Beautiful girls, and I am sure you will have less to worry about.....

Sharron,
I got Lemony and Buffy from Heathylee House Farm on the Derbyshire/Staffordshire border.http://www.heathylee.co.uk
They're really nice there - if a little out in the wild/mud. Give them a ring, I bet they're hatching at the moment.

They all look adorable, and very well cared for,so compliments to you.I'm sure you knew but Bella is Italian for beautifull, which she is,so aptly named.
