My garden has turned into an absolute mud bath, my other half (Who wanted the ducks in the first place) reckons we should sell them, but I am quite attached so I don#t want to sell them (Its not their fault they are messy !) :|

Obviously grass won't really grow now at this time of year ^^; but I am a bit concerned as possibly it might be a bit bad for their health.

I can get fresh straw for the run not problem, I'll post some photos here of my <s>garden</s> mudpit

Probably our garden might just be too small for 3 ducks though :(

I have a simular problem, part of my garden doesn't really get any sun, so it's always damp, plus my garden on the whole doesn't drain very well so the ducks use this to there advantage, i have to re-seed about 2/5 of my garden each year. I have found putting a small fence up using the garden wire climbing plant stuff quiet effective so when one area gets to bad i fence it off untill the mud and water have dried in a bit. There is some rubber matting you can get, (the sorta stuff they use in a grassy area when it is turned into a car park,) this stops the ducks digging at the mud so easily.

Hope this helps James
