Hi, I have a bantam cross who keeps going broody. I eventually gave in and decided to let her sit, but she was sitting in a nest box in the main shed which the others use too. Anyway she sat for around 10 days until I discovered she had moved and was sitting in the wrong box. It was then I noticed there were not 6 but 14 eggs in hers!! All cold. I was so dissappointed, I thought she had been doing so well but obviously the others had been jumping on and laying when she was off to eat and drink.
So.... I moved her into the old small shed complete with some fresh eggs....she dosnt want to know and just sits in the run looking across at her friends. I left her there for 4 days and gave up this morning and let her back in with the others....she promptly ran straight into the main shed and jumped in a nest box! Cant believe it, the little monkey. I'm sure, if on her own she would do a wonderful job. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello, once she is sitting tight for a few days in the main house- you can move her ( at night or just before dark) to the house you want her to sit in- don't let her in the run and see if she is sitting tight in the morning- this works for most broodies.
regards, David :)
