I guess it depends on the type of quail,what type of chickens and the room you have. I have 2 bobwhite quail with my chickens and they get on fine. at night I usually find the 2 bobs tucked up nice and warm in the hut in the middle of the pekins. I do make a point of putting any new chicks in with the quail once they are off heat so they get used to them before they outgrow them. I introduced all mine at a young age and they don't really take any notice of each other. I had ex batt hens but wouldn't trust them with quail. All I can say is if you try it just make sure you keep a close eye on things. hope this helps
