Was written by a man from Cleethorpes who used to work for Ross frozen foods!, it's my random useless fact for the day . If you've ever been to Cleethorpes you will know why it tickles me.

It's a nice little story really, the guy was called Rod Temperton and he was living in a dingy one bedroom flat in Germany when he was recruited into disco band Heatwave who he wrote Boogie Nights for. Went on to write quite a few hits, 'Sweet Freedom' for Michael McDonald, 'Rock With You' for Jackson and 'Baby Come to Me' for James Ingram which was number 1 in the US amongst others. When he died he had homes in LA, Fiji, Switzerland, France and Kent.

Another one carried away by cancer. My mind turns to Patrick Swayze who also died of cancer, Heath Ledger and River Phoenix who died of drug overdoses and Jon-Eric Hexum who did not realise that guns with dummy bullets are still fatal if fired at close range. Such a waste of human potential.
