I'd like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year before I sign off for the festive mayhem...
As always, this forum and those on it have been a fantastic help and a shoulder to cry on in times of need. I'm honoured to be part of such a friendly and caring bunch of chicken lovers.
Hope you all get what you wish for (and some more chickens from Father Christmas if they're on your list) :)

Hi B.B., and every good Christmas wish from me, too, to all my friends on here. May you be free from foxes, rats, redmite, chicken health problems, frozen drinkers and all other poultry annoyances in the New Year.
Let's hope for contented clucking and lots of eggs!

Yes, merry Christmas and a great new year to everyone on the forum.
I have learned a lot and laughed a lot, such a shame we cannot get together and meet.
Someone in Turkey, Chris in France, friends in America, the very best of chicken keeping to all of you, wherever you are. May the fox keep out of your garden, may the layers pellets drop in price, may the rain keep away for a while (for those of us with big, open runs) may we find a crowless cockerel,
may the redmite be blasted into oblivion, I ask you, what good are those little bloodsuckers to anyone on the planet? and may our girls forever be cluckily contented and lay huge amounts of brown or white eggs.
All the best for a super 2015, lots of love to every chicken lover, Val B. XXX,

Wishing everyone has 'bonnes fetes de fin d'annee' (good Christmas and New Year celebrations).

Christmas here remains a fairly simple one day religious festival celebrated with family as there is no Boxing Day and people are usually straight back to work, depending on which day it falls. New Year is celebrated in the same manner as England -headaches to follow!
