Hello
Today I inherited a male chinese painted quail
I've never kept any kind of bird before although have loads of experience with other pets. He was part of a trio but unfortunately killed his wives! He has been on his own for a few months now and seems happy and healthy, although nowhere near tame - he's pretty skittish. He currently lives in a four foot long rabbit hutch but I hope to improve this soon.
A couple of questions. Firstly, I'd like to make his life a bit more interesting so can anyone let me know about things I can offer him to keep him occupied as I hate to see birds just pacing around? Secondly, I worry that he is lonely - should I get him some more lady friends and if so what can I do to minimise the chances of him picking on them?
Thanks for any advice
