I have had a small flock of geese for about 18 years . I was down to to two girls and a gander, lost the gander about eight months ago with two girls left.
Now lost one girl ,leaving me with one LONE goose. She seems lost and sad. About a week ago my friend brought over a 5yrs old gander who lost his mate a few months ago and two of his goslings.( they are 4months old). I am hoping to cheer her up and give her some new friends.
She does not seem interested and stays completely away from them. Do you think this can work out? Do you think they just need more time?
Will she rebond with a new younger gander? Any suggestions would be SO appreciated.
