Just separated mum from chicks

Literally just moved mum out of broody coop back into nestbox of main coop. All quiet!
In the morning, is it ok for chicks to see mum or should I shield the view of the chicks from mum and vice' versa. I've only got limited space and they are less than 10ft apart. Mum and chicks (8 weeks) have been sitting on the kick boards of the main coop for last couple of weeks and keeping close to the 2 adults in the main coop. Hoping this means mum is keeping friends rather than trying to fight. Lots of pecking ground close to each other been going on

Well, mum is now pulling her hair out in the main run desperate to get back to the chicks, the chicks are happily doing their stuff with not a care in the world... I've put up a barrier so mum can't see them as she just couldn't cope.
One interesting change though is that the roo has decided this morning that he is going to crow his head off for the first time ever (and very loudly) which is a bit of a shock!

Well, after 3 hours of Tak climbing the walls and hurting herself to the point of bleeding to try to get back to the chicks, I've given up.
All is now peace and serenity, not a noise from anyone and peace has returned to the garden....
Chicks and mum now in the main ark together, happily digging in the wood hip with Lily and Crumps installed on the perch preening!
Not sure how this is going to work, but it seems to be the solution that works?
Taken the layers pellets out and popped in growers - all 3 adults are moulting anyway so no laying going on. Only query is whether I should remove perch in the house (possibly twists young birds breast bones?
We shall see what happens at bedtime....

Perhaps a bit young to be perching but it depend how high I suppose? Our Leghorn bantams were perching at 4 weeks in the daytime with no perch left in at night. They didn't get a perch until 12 weeks. The worry at the time was someone being smothered in the nightime crush for the corner of the coop.

It's not too high, about 10cm. It's been quiet all day, only drama being when I mowed the lawn and chicks wouldn't follow mum upstairs as an alien consent to them I suppose. Mum called and in the end came back down and tucked them under her wings in the corner.
Will keep an eye on things when they go to bed.
Had no idea Tak would be so maternal, it's a bit mad really as doesn't seem normal in anything I've read.
