I've just had a lovely email from Flytes of Fancy telling me I've won their broody coop competition, it's being delivered next week. :D I don't think I've ever won a competition before, and the timing couldn't be better. Now I can try and cure my two broody chickens by isolating them in it, then I can get the two more I've been wanting as I'll have a quarantine pen.

Still undecided about what type to get, recent weeks of broodiness have put me off more pekins.

Woooo congrats :D :D :D :D :D

FofF make lovely poultry housing. You are really lucky. So are the hens

Hi Dawn,

What super news, bet you are thrilled!! Looks like someone has decided you and your girls have been through enough...... silver lining and all.

You must post some pics, of your girls and the new 5* house!

Congratulations!

New stuff is even better when you don't have to pay for it!

Well done, that's great!

I really like the Flyte so Fancy Houses, they are fantastic. The owners are such lovely people too. They helped me out a few times (before I had the website and before they advertised with us).

Don't forget our Spring Competition - there is a seriously good chance of winning something in it, there haven't been that many entries. For the next (Summer) competition I managed to get 10 copies of The Chicken Manual by Haynes which is a fantastic book. I'm so excited already!! :D

Hi,

I have just entered the competition. Yesterday took delivery of my 2nd flytesofancy bulk order. Am impressed with the speedy service on both counts and packaging is excellent. Having scoured lots of sites, I find their prices competitive and the postage is great value.

i have got the new FREE 2010 catalogue, which has some houses to die for.

Dawn, your broody coop is beautiful. Did you get a run with it too? AND what was the question you answered.

Sharron

The coop arrived on Friday and we put it together yesterday. They not only sent me a run with it, but the longest one too :) . It is lovely quality and you're right Tim they are very helpful and friendly there.

Sharron, I had to do a tie breaker saying why I needed it. I've never done one of those before and I can't remember it all, but is was along the lines of needing it to prove to my other half that we should have got a run from there in the first place as I wanted instead of the cheap one that now leaks. Did you mean that you've ordered one of their runs ? Which one? I'd love one of the bigger ones for a full time house.

Both the broodies stopped last week, so it's empty at present, but only until I get my two new ones. Still trying to decide, but very tempted by more pekins but frizzled as I saw some recently at a show and they were gorgeous.

I love frizzle pekins too!. The pics of bridgemontbelles? Liz's are gorgeous.

Sorry for my ramblings- No I havn't got any housing from "Flyesofancy" YET- just the boring stuff Diatom, Poultry Shield, gloves etc.....Wishful thinking, adore their houses..... one day .......

So pleased for you, it a delightful and substanial item to win.....

Sharron

PS have posted about our giving into our broody, 3rd time- she will be on real eggs by the weekend!!!!
